New Decals in 1/43 or 1/24 scale for Bjorn Waldegard’s EscortRS1800 on the 1979 Southern Cross Rally in Australia.

Back in 1979 Colin Bond of Bathurst fame ran these yellow Group 4 Escorts in Australia. Himself / Greg Carr crewed one of them, while for the 1979 Southern Cross Rally Bjorn Waldegard / Hans Thorzelius crewed the other car. The decals have been produced in Australia for Bjorn’s car.

We shall soon be importing these decals from Australia. Available in either 1/24 scale (For the Esci plastic kit) or 1/43 scale (Trofeu etc base model). Priced at £15 1/24 and £10 1/43 Please e-mail us for more details andy@rallymodels.co.uk

Subaru Impreza WRC 2003 “DAF” from Irishrallymodels.

First in a new series of Code 3 conversions from Irishrallymodels, is the Subaru Impreza WRC 2003 of Martin Doherty / Andrew Cullen, winner of the ALMC Stages in 2006. Model is based on the IXO produced Altaya 1/43 Impreza, and using decals produced by the same company as rallymodels. New releases from Trofeu for 2007

The following are expected to be released from Trofeu during 2007. Its much the same as usual with plenty of new liveries on existing castings. The 2007 catalogue will be available at the end of February after the Nuremburg Trade Toy Fair in Germany, priced at £3.00 inc postage, please e-mail us one to get hold of one.

The TR7 casting will be modified to give the wider arched V8 / tarmac version, which will allow models from the 1980 Ypres 24hr & Lombard RAC Rallies as driven by Tony Pond. A new model to be introduced will be the Ford Capri 2600 RS, with various drivers from the 1972 Le Mans to be modelled.

Some of the models listed below were in the 2006 catalogue, but never released, and our old favourite TR116 Ford Sierra Cosworth Portugal Rally “Crashed Car” has been in for the last 8 years ! May be this year !
