Alpine Renault A110 - 4th Tour de Corse
1974 - J.P. Manzagol / Filippi
In 1974, despite being awarded a 10 minute time penalty at the
start of the Tour De Corse Rally, Jean Pierre Manzagol managed to
overcome the deficit and finished in 4th place. He was also the
highest placed privateer driver to finish.
LMA02 is the second release in Trofeu's La Magie de L'Asphalte
series, these are produced predominently for the French market,
hence the inlay card being in French.

Toyota Corolla Andros Trophy to be released
in January 2007, in 1/18 scale from Solido |

The Andros Trophey is run every year on
a course built from snow and ice and is contested by most of the
major car manufacturers. Toyota will once again contest this year
with two Corolla’s over the 7 rounds with the Super Final
at the Stade De France in Paris. Solido have chosen to release the
Corolla of ex Formula One driver Olivier Panis in 1:18th scale diecast.

New Rally / Race Releases from Corgi
for 2007 |

Originally these were the Lledo Vangards Series,
but since they are now owned by Corgi, this year the branding
has changed, and they will be called the Drive Time Motorsport
Series. But they are still 1/43 scale Models for collectors
(and not toys!). This is the full list of what is expected

Withers of Winsford Escort MK1’s

From their base in
the Cheshire town of Winsford, the company “Withers
of Winsford” regularly beat the big boys at their game
during the early to mid 70’s. Drivers such as Roger
Clark, Chris Sclater and Brian Culcheth ran with their sponsorship
on various ex work MK1 Escorts sourced from Boreham. With
a lot of help from Cal Withers and Chris Sclater, we are able
to release very accurate 1/43 scale versions of these cars,
based on the excellent detailed models supplied from Trofeu.

Soon to be released from Trofeu in the
BRL Series |
|
To be released by the end of 2006, by
Trofeu in the British Rally Legends Series, is BRL04. Limited and
numbered to 1204 models, in 1/43 scale, complete with gate fold
box and extra detailing. The next release will be:
BRL04 Pentti Airikkala / Mike Greasley in their David Sutton Motorsport
prepared, Team Avon Tyres sponsored Ford Escort MK2 RS1800, MLD999P.
1976 Lombard RAC Rally £36.99.

This was the Ford B Team on the event, and Pentti was leading the
event for most of the four days, until clutch failure caused retirement
just three stages from the end of the rally (and those were the
days of real rallies, 60+ stages over four days and nights !). Another
twist being, the Team Avon Tyres sponsored car actually used Dunlop’s
for the whole event !
MLD999P was a well used car, with its white bodyshell, and orange
stripes,sponsored by Gandy Brakes it competed with Roger Clark on
the Lindisfarne Rally, the open championship with Ari Vatanen that
year, 1000 Lakes with Pentti, and has been resurrected in the last
few year by David Sutton’s Historic Motorsport for use by
Stig Blomquist on Classic Events around the world. |

New Releases for 2006/2007 from Rallymodels |

| These are our proposed releases
for the next few months, these are Code 2 Trofeu models, made
with the approval of Trofeu in Portugal. They all use new
1/43 scale Trofeu base models specially made for use, decals
etc are added by ourselves at Rallymodels. All these can be
pre ordered / reserved and supplied when you are ready, they
are available either fully built and decaled, base car and
decals to make yourself, or just decals. Please e-mail us
